Stylus---A Tool to Create

It is said, we all have a purpose in life.  Recognizing that purpose brings us clarity. As the daughter of immigrants from Mexico, I was unaware of my significance or purpose.  But my hardworking parents instilled a set of values in my siblings and me that set me on my path.  Those values of hard work, honesty, commitment, determination, and respect for all shaped my character and helped me to grow personally and professionally.  The example my parents set created an essential part of who I am.  These lessons have continued to guide me in recognizing opportunities and following those opportunities through to completion.
Stylus & Co. was founded on December 3, 1988, by a single, Hispanic female.  My only thought was, “I hope I don’t default on the five year lease!” Fast forward 35 years (and several additional leases!) and my life has come full circle.
I am humbled and grateful to those who have taught and inspired me and shared their life experiences with me.  My constant thought continues to be—“To be different is to make a difference.  Acknowledge adversity.  Through it we build strength, growth and wisdom.”
Finally, as stylists, we are grateful to offer a place where people can come together and inspire each other.
